The Challenge

The Uluru Dialogue came to us in February 2022 with one ask:
“The Uluru Statement Voice has been forgotten. Put it back on the national agenda in the lead-up to the Federal election.”

How We Shaped the Story

We profiled the Dialogue’s leading voices in national media, establishing relationships with key journalists and leveraging our contacts to generate national awareness of the Dialogue and the Voice.

Why it Counts

Our campaign firmly placed the Uluru Statement and the Voice on the national agenda during the election campaign, culminating in Prime Minister Anthony Albanese committing to the Uluru Statement in full in the first sentence of his acceptance speech.

Our work continued throughout the 2023 referendum, including the launch of the You’re the Voice TVC featuring John Farnham’s iconic song. The day we announced the TVC, we generated more than 10,000 individual media stories in a single 24-hour period, the most in Porter Novelli’s history.
